Building Information Modelling  

With a big shift towards Building Information Modelling (BIM) in recent years we have had to adapt quickly to meet the needs of our clients.

BIM begins with the production of an intelligent 3D model and enables document management, coordination and simulation during the entire lifecycle of a project (plan, design, build, operation and maintenance).

BIM is used to design and document building and infrastructure designs. With every detail of the building modelled in BIM it can be used by all for analysis to explore design, create visualisations to enhance our understanding of how a building will be constructed, identify potential challenges early on and see what the building will look like before it’s built.

The model can then be further developed and used to generate the design documentation for construction with the inclusion of specific COBie data inputs.

We adopt the principles outlined in the BEP to ensure that all models and processes are compliant and meet our clients needs adhering to all relevant standards.

Revit

Model Based Designs

We fully utilise Revit and it’s powerful tools for the production of our building services models.

As an outsourcing business, we can produce or progress Revit models at any stage of a project, often developing models up to stage 4 on behalf of consultants and stage 5 onwards on behalf of MEP contractors. We can also assist with design development and work closely with MEP contractors on design and build contracts.

Many of the projects we are involved with are fully designed by consultancies, however we understand the realities of a construction site and the difficulties project managers and engineers face when producing fully coordinated working drawings.

We can also assist with bespoke Revit family production, providing BIM libraries for manufacturers with the inclusion COBie parameters for a smooth transition within BIM L2 projects.

In addition to assisting your business through all stages of a project we can also manage your online data management to help free up valuable time.

Having worked on a number of construction sites we fully appreciate that relaying information on paper is not always straightforward so our office door is always open and we are always available for site visits.

VR & DIGITAL SURVEYS

Our VR & digital survey services enable us to navigate through sites and buildings in real time (combining Revit Live services with the latest Oculus hardware), identifying clashes or other potential problem areas that are often difficult to spot during the Revit modelling and coordination processes.

Using the latest 3D laser scanning methods we are able to obtain detailed precision surveys which can later be remodelled in Revit.
